Midi keyboard not showing up
Hoping someone can help. I've been using musescore for a while and only just read that I can use a midi keyboard - hooray! However, it's not working. I have followed a video guide, connected the keyboard first before opening musescore, but in the preferences, there is no option to use the midi keyboard. Port audio has no devices, I have tried Jack audio server too. I have tried both version 2 and 3, it's the same in both.
I can use the midi keyboard in other programs, so it's working fine.
Thanks!

Did you see https://musescore.org/en/handbook/preferences#i-o
Have you tried Restart Audio engine, rebooting the system or using https://musescore.org/en/handbook/revert-factory-settings ?

I've reverted to factory settings, still nothing :-(
See:
https://musescore.org/en/handbook/preferences#input
where you enable MIDI input
Also the toolbar button:

Thank you, it was the midi input button! Feel daft now! However, when I tried to input using realtime, none of my rhythms were recognised and it just inputted a random bunch of notes (some of them chords)...

DId you play in time with the metronome, and/or use the specific comamnd for real-time advance? It's definitely not as simple as just play whatever you want and have it magically recognized and turned into something readable, but when within the documented limitations, it does work as advertised.
