N (Note Input) doesn't work

I'm using MacBook Pro with macOS Catalina.
Half of the Time, the N button does't respond and I have to quit the app and then its usually okay.
very annoying and time consuming , Does anyone has a solution to this?
I think it might has something to do with the catalina cause it didn't happen on the older macOS

Could be you've accidentally double-clicked something, thus putting it into edit mode. Try hitting Esc and see if that restores normal function. Also be sure of course the keyboard focus is actually in the main MuseScore window, that you don't have some other dialog box open.

Are you often double-clicking? Does Esc fix it every time?

What about just switching windows then back? I have no Mac, only a Windows and Linux system, but on the latter I occasionally need to use this workaround, not just with MuseScore but with other apps too.
