"lines" and sound produced where they are present
Hi all,
When playing measures linked by lines, I expect the sound generated to be continuous (i.e. legato), whereas I hear it accentuated every time it handles a new note.
Are my expectations misplaced or is it an issue?
The attached file containing a motet from Guillaume de Machaut provides you with an example of what I mean. The first three measures of the "teneur" for instance or even further on.
Thanks,

Thanks, indeed it works. Furthermore, thanks to your recording, I've discovered that there is a difference in terms of sound playback between the "slur" tool of the "Lines" palette and the "tie +" tool of menu bar.

That is because a slur and tie are entirely different things that just happen to look similar. Kind of like how the words "to" and "two" are entirely different things that just happen to sound similar. It's crucial two always pick the correct one of the to :-)
