So I've been using MuseScore for a long time now and I don't think I got any updates recently, so it doesn't make any sense to me that the palette, and even the buttons on the top right to close/minimize/maximize the window don't work at all. I've tried repairing, reinstalling, rebooting MuseScore and nothing has worked. If you're wondering, I'm on Windows 7 and the issue happens every single time I open MuseScore and wait for it to boot up. I can place notes and do everything within the staff and open different scores/listen back to them, but the palette and basically entire interface doesn't respond and nothing happens when I try to click on any icons. Before about 2 weeks ago MuseScore was working just fine and I haven't even got any updates from it so I really don't understand why the interface has decided to stop working. If you know what's wrong or have any ideas, please let me know, I've resorted to using MuseScore 2 because that's the only version that is working for me right now.

Factory resetting didn't work either. It just locks up at the prompt where it asks to send anonymous reports, and I can't click any of the options. I tried factory resetting by code and that didn't work either. Something seems to be really wrong with any of the prompts that are pulled up by MuseScore and not windows and that's making this really hard to troubleshoot.

I can't access that video, seems you might have deleted it? Not that I expect it to be very illuminating; your description seems clear enough.

Is there anything unusual about your display configuration? Multiple monitors, or a non-standard connection, overrides to the default resolution settings, etc? One possibility is that somehow there is a dialog being displayed and it's outside the visible area of the screen for some reason. Although realistically that doesn't explain how note input could still be working.
