when I input the same note more than once with my midi keyboard, musescore will always delete all notes except the last one, e.g. quarter notes g g g entered makes rest rest g

What OS, and what version of MuseScore? Which note input mode are you using (see the dropdown menu next to the note input button on the toolbar)? And can you attach the score you are having trouble with and give more precise steps to reproduce the problem?
