custom stem ?

could I create a custom note stem in "my pallet" and replace existing stem on any note (beit 1/8,1/4,etc) with it on note by note basis? it would take/have all the positioning attributes of a regular stem. its appearance is to be a plain vert line with an arrow head at end. almost like the "glisandi" (maybe exactly the same, but positioned where the stem would normally be). arrow head to point with stem direction. Im on ver 2.0.2. I'd like it to be a "one click" process from "my pallet". not a 1) delete stem or 1a) make invisible 2) delete "feathers" (what do U call them). 3) insert new icon, 4) who know what.

If what you are describing is something commonly used in published music, there is probably a symbol for it in the Symbols palette, at least in current versions. But even so, it wouldn't behave like a true stem, you'd have to apply/position the symbol manually. Probably no need to make anything invisible or delete anything, but it would take a couple of steps.

If this really is a thing commonly used in published music, it's probably a feature that could/should be added. Can you post some examples showing its use and explaining its interpretation?
