How to separate dynamic characters in each bar

To be more specific, I want the left hand to be playing mezzo-piano and the right hand to be playing forte. But, since I'm new to making sheet musics I don't really know how to separate them. I know how to implant them of course but if I put the mp under the left hand it would also apply to the right hand. How can I prevent this and is this even correct?
