BUG in Version 3.5 Alpha: Pedal Lines
Hi there!
Wanted to report a few bugs that I noticed using Pedal Lines for Piano:
-
Pedal Line locks the Arrow keys: After I disabled Automatic Placement and moved the pedal line downwards using the Down Arrow, I tried moving it left with the Left Arrow but it kept moving downwards on the Y axis. seems that once you move it in one direction it locks onto that. Tried it with different styles of pedal lines and was the same.
-
Pedal Line doesn't appear in thickness as adjusted in style: I adjusted the thickness of the line in the Style section to 0.1 and saved it, but every time I inserted a new line it appeared in 0.16. However when I clicked Reset to Style Default it did reset to 0.1.
Not a big deal but probably worth a look,
as it may be the same for other elements that I just haven't discovered yet.
Cheers :)

And 3.4.2 behaved differently in those cases?
In order to understand better, it is best if you attach your score and describe in more detail what you are doing.
With respect to moving pedal lines, first you shouldn't need or normally want to disable autoplace, unless the goal is specifically to allow it to collide with other things further away from the staff (it will happily collide with things closer to the staff without the need to disabled autoplace).
It does seems that attempting to move the pedal directly by clicking the middle handle and using the arrow keys works differently than before, and not in a way that makes sense to me. But I don't have much insight into the changes that were made here. It continues to work to use the Inspector however. But even adjustments made this way trigger the anchor-changing behaving, which surprises me.
The thickness thing is something I thought was fixed for 3.5, at least as it related to scores with non-default scaling (staff space). But I can confirm it doesn't seem to work now. See #303271: Elements in inspector no longer have default sp values when applied to score, if staff space is not the default. Not sure really what the story is.
