The pedal lines have 0.33sp (or whatever, depending on the staff space, it seems) thickness while the default is 0.15sp.

Comments

I am also having this problem. Mine was set to 0.35sp, but if I hit the reset button in the inspector it goes back to normal.

Turns out this affects other elements too.

  1. Open a new score and change the scaling in page settings. (the larger the difference in values from the original the more drastic the results will be)
  2. Place a pedal marking on the score.
  3. Check the thickness of the pedal line in the inspector.
  4. To reset to the style defaults click the button in the inspector.

Rather than following the established default value, the line thickness changes inversely with the scaling of the score. Changing the scaling to 0.5 mm yields a line thickness of 0.53sp and changing the scaling to 5.00 mm yields a line thickness of 0.05sp, both times with a default value of 0.15sp. If this is an intended feature so that pedal markings are easier to read with small scores or vice versa, it should change the default value in the style settings rather than making the change automatically regardless of default value.

This is not an intended feature, as elements should scale properly when staff space is changed. There is a problem in 3.4.2 that when changing staff space, the lengths/widths of existing elements don't scale at all, fortunately it will be fixed in 3.5.
