I have exactly the same problem on a Mac.
It happened when i restarted Musescore on the 10th May

Unfortunately, we don't have the answer as to what is uniquely different about your particular system that causes it not to work. If you have tried everything listed in the the article referenced and you are still having problems, then it is a problem as yet not known/understood by anyone yet. So we will need your assistance in providing as many details as you can about your specific system and its audio specifically, so we can try to understand why it isn't working for you in particular.
