When doing orchestral arrangings, it's common to copy a part being done by an instrument (say it has two voices and you copy the first one) and paste it onto another one. But, sometimes, that other one instrument has already something on the first voice, and you want that part, being lower in pitch, to be in the second voice in the other instrument. Nowadays there isn't any command for doing that, as far as I am concerned.

Anyway, there is a workaround that requires the double of time the command I propose would require, and it consists in changing the voice of the target instrument's already existing notes, pasting the other notes, and swapping voices 1-2.

In principle this is strsightforward enough. It would be interesting, though, to consider what should happen if the source being copied is not just a single voice. One possibility is to ignore everything not in voice 1. Another is to simply add "n" (well, technically, n-1) to the voice when pasting. So if your source has voices 1 & 2, and you paste into voice 2, you end up with voices 2 & 3.
