MuseScore still has not fixed this yet.
Dissonant notes from different voices still mesh into each other when cross-beamed as you can see in Test-Score.mscz, and in my unfinished symphony, tremolos on whole notes break with the measure barlines. I just reported to MuseScore that though it is saved along with other files, it still crashes when trying to play a create-score plugin. MuseScore could be wonderful with these problems and usability fixed. Also, in future versions or as soon as you can get it, add spiccato features as well.

Are you talking about #305263: MuseScore Crashed on me!, which is virtually empty and so far completely useless as a bug report?
For Cross-staff notes colliding see #293279: Cross-staff notes don't cause existing beams and stems on other stave to avoid it and #114141: Notes collide between cross-staff (this is not about being dissonant, but about being with less than a third distance).
Isn't Spiccato similar to Staccato, at least as far as notation is concerned?

To answer that last question, could I say I do not really know, but maybe?
