I use the "Fill with slashes" feature a lot, and find it very useful. However I've just found a problem when using that feature with the "Pith names" option.
This is what you get when using this feature normally: 0.png

But, if you use the "Pitch names" option (Right click on the Staff > Staff/Part Properties > Advanced Style Properties > Pitch Names), then the "Fill with slashes feature" stops working properly: 2.png

The problem doesn't appear only when using the "Pitch names" option; if you choose "German Pitch names", "Solfege Movable Do" or any other option from (Right click on the Staff > Staff/Part Properties > Advanced Style Properties > Pitch Names), you get the same problem.

I'm currently using 3.5 Alpha, but I can reproduce the problem also in 3.4.2, no matter which font / style I use.

Indeed. More generally, noteheads can't be changed at all when using this option, not using the Inspector or palette either. It's even greyed out in the Inspector, suggesting this is currently intentional. But I agree it is something that should be reconsidered. Preusmably it wouldn't be too difficult to allow.

It would be nice if a future version of musescore 4 could allow changing noteheads to x to indicate muting in slash notation for guitar tablature, because this is quite typical for electric guitar. At the moment if you try to change it in properties or palettes nothing happens.
