I have a miditech midi keyboard that is supposed to be plug-and-play. It appears to function correctly with other music creating software (example: Hooktheory).

When I got to preferences, there are zero drop downs for MIDI input in the I/O section.

  1. I have it plugged in prior to starting MuseScore.
  2. MIDI Input is toggled on the tool bar.
  3. My OS is Windows 10.
  4. Computer keyboard note entry works perfectly fine.

Comments

Might be it only included 32-bit drivers and the version of MuseScore you have installed is 64-bit. If you cannot obtain 64-bit drivers for the keyboard, you can try installing the 32-bit MuseScore via the Download link above.
