Real Time chashes in last bar
In Mac OSX, if for any reason I input more notes than the allowed in the last bar, the software crashes I have to force quit it.

If you have to force quit it, it hasn't crashed, but maybe went into an infinite loop?
What exact version of MuseScore, what macOS, exact steps to reproduce please
I am guessing you are seeing the effect of a bug #301946: Crash when realtime automatic reaches end of partition which is fixed for 3.5.
