Using Rollapp

If you don't want to go through and download Linux on a Chromebook, you can access the Musescore composing program through roll app. Go into the Chrome Web Store and search "Musescore" and install the roll app version. Once you follow the instructions to sign up, you can compose as you regularly would with the Windows version.

I believe this now works with a paid account, but the whole process - including creating the account, setting it up, setting up file access, etc - is far more complicated than the half a minute it takes to install the Linux version. But, it is good that RollApp is available as an option for those who cannot install Linux apps (which unfortunately includes a fair number of Chromebooks used in schools). And it's certainly cool technology!
