How can I change the number of staves partway through a piece?
Hi – I'd like to know how to change the number of staves I'm using. I start with just one stave for a melody line, then I need two staves for SATB, then I go back to just needing one, then I need two again. Can anyone help?

Enter all the staves you need, and , after, use HIDE EMPTY STAVES

Thanks. I started by doing the opposite – do I need to start again and cut and paste what I've done so far?
Also, would you mind pointing me to how I can get the stems to point in different directions for when you're inputting SATB parts? Thanks a lot

Use voices. Voice 1 (and 3) have stems up, voice 2 (and 4) have stem down (as soon as there is more than just voice 1)
