Inconsistency with range-selection
Mentioning this to verify response or get some feedback:
1) Create measure with some broken rests with another staff below it untouched
2) Attempt to range-select vertically via [shift+down] and it won't work once (but will if no range exists yet)
It could be argued that the reason why it doesn't work is because it would force horizontal range to extend due to a whole rest below while only having a "partial" measure above, but if so:
3) Make next measure have two half-rests
4) Horizontally extend the range to include the next measure's first half-rest and then press [shift+down]
Result: the whole measure gets selected by extending the entire horizontal range. If this is expected, why shouldn't the first attempt on the first measure also do the same thing? The point is that it feels a little awkward at times when attempting [Shift+down] starting from above and not have anything happen from my point of view.

It seems inconsistent and glitchy to me too, the behavior of Shift+Down with rests.
