I imported the PDF from Ross Roy by Jacob de Haan
the first part was correct, then it was a lot of jibberish.
I corrected the whole file and saved it.
When I copy and past it to a new document, (because I don't like the fact that it is on a4 and a3 sized paper) I get the old file with all the jibberish.

What program did you use to do the PDF import? It's not an exact science, but any issues you see should be reported to the developers of that program. If you used the experimental service provided by musescore.com, then Audiveris is the name of the application to report issues to.
It's not at all clear what you mean by gibberish here, or what you did to correct it, or what specifically changed whern you copied and pasted. We'd need much more information in order to assist.
But also, note you don't need to paste to a new document just to change paper since. Just change it in Layout / Page Settings.
