Import PDF file

I have imported in MS 3 a score for two flutes with fairly good success. However the resulting ms file shows two staffs for one single instrument (piano). I cannot separate them as ex. to print the single partitions. An akward solution : create a new file with two instruments and copy the staffs. Any better solution ?
