It's not really clear what you mean - are you referring to physical size, or number of beats? In order for us to understand and assist you better, please attach your score.

I'm used to Encore. Measures per system etc. I pushed some button that made the first measure of my piece be really wide. I love MuseScore and am still learning.

As I said, in order to do more than guess, we'd need you to attach your score (see the button right below where you type your comment).
But based on what you are now saying, my guess is the button you pushed was the Enter key. Just
like
a
word
processor,
it
adds
a
line
break.

So what should I do to fix it. To put it back the way it was? The song I've been working on is Away in a Manger. I don't know how to send it to you.
