Programme close automatically just 5 seconds after starting

I have just updated to version 3.5.0 13199. Now the programme will not run when I try to open it. After clicking the start button the programme starts the initialisation process then after only a few seconds it automatically shuts down. When I try to restart a pop up tells me that tha programme has unexpectedly closed and do I want to restore this session? I have tried both the yes and no response but the result is the same. I can access the programme successfully by going through a piece of music tha has already been generated on the old version but this is not an ideal situation. I have tried the 'Factory reset' but nothing has changed. Can you please help?
