Musescore 3 3.5 update keeps crashing

Recently updated musescore to 3.5 but everytime I open musescore through the shortcut, the program loads and crashes. If I open an arrangement that was already saved the program works perfectly fine but it's annoying to open up a precious score to start a new one......
I've already tried reverting musescore to factory settings and reinstall but nothing works so far.
