Chord names above notes change dynamics

• Aug 19, 2020 - 03:56

On compositions that have previously sounded OK , the presence of a chord name (C, F, G etc) above the stave is now interpreted as an ff below the stave. This causes unwanted stresses over the first note or chord in the bar that were not there before. Select and delete all elements returns the melody to how it sounded previously.

Thanks for your interest. See attached file. The effect becomes really pronounced at Bar 21. When I delete all chord notation, it then sounds as it should. This is a recent phenomenon that has coincided with the latest release of MuseScore 3. It's not a disaster, but it's unwelcome.
