Are you looking for inspiration or instructions on using the program?

If it's the program, then tell us if this is a vocal solo or if you have accompaniment which instrument?

Thanks, Mike. I need really basic instructions, just for vocal scores, nothing fancy! No other instruments. The song I need a score for first is in three parts. I think that between Dr George Hess on youtube and the Handbook, which Jojo suggest below, I may get there! Very impatient, and not the right kind of brain for this kind of software, it appears!

The short version of what you want to do is create a score using the new score by selecting your instruments (voice is an instrument). Choose the voices you want for your song and follow the instructions for creating a score. Jojo is correct, step one to using the program should be to read the manual. You don't need to read every word but at least read the details of note input and things like dynamics and lines, all of which are critical to writing a score. Become familiar with the other tools so you'll at least have an idea of where to find them if you decide you need them.
