Octave 8 under one note.
This piece has octave 8s under some of the bass notes. Is there a way to notate this so it plays one octave lower? Or do I need to make a duplicate hidden file with the correct notation?
Thanks! <3

Reading that score isn't going to happen for me but from what you describe you need to select the note where you want the 8 under it then ctrl+click the next note or rest and apply the ottava to only the first note selected.

Thanks, mike320. I think I'm headed in the right direction. Just don't have the formula down yet. Right click on the next note, select Style, select Ottava, click Okay. I must be missing a step, because nothing happens. Would you walk me through it one more time? Thanks for your patience. <3

not right click the next note, press ctrl while you click the next note.

Thanks, mike320. I'm getting there. I'm on a laptop and use the finger pad to select and enter items. I highlight the first note, then hold down Control, and then highlight the second note with my finger pad. Nothing special happens for me. Just highlighted notes. Would you go over this one more time? Thank you for being a mentor today. <3

Once the notes are highlighted add the ottava line from the lines palette and it will only be over the first note selected.
