Beaming algorithm - improvement needed?

Select beam (second group) -> Inspector -> Check "Local relayout".
Result: Elgar, Edward - 1.mscz
I removed the x offset from the chords in the voice and lyrics 1 and it looks much better.
Notice in your picture how far to the right the notes in the voice are compared to the piano. MuseScore does not do this on its own.
You don't need to be embarrassed. Through the years we have seen numerous similar issues where people did similar things. Your mistake may help others in the future.
