How to copy dashed barlines?

• Oct 8, 2020 - 16:00

I am working with a piece where I have to use dashed barlines a lot, due to complex rhythm. But I have not been able to figure out how to copy a bar containing one or more dashed barlines. (Right now, everyting is copied except the dashed barlines) Any suggestions?

Maybe it is better to change the durations of the bars, instead of dragging the dashed barline directly to to notehead? But dragging it to the notehead is very convenient.

You can't copy the dashed barlines. These are considered system items and you can't copy any system items. From what you are describing it sounds like you have a single staff and the dashed barline is not splitting the measure exactly in half. If this is the case, then what you are doing is the easiest way to do it except for one thing. You can select multiple notes and click the dashed barline and it will be placed before each note. To select multiple notes, click the first then ctrl+click others.

That is correct! My dashed barlines are not splitting the bar into two equal parts. It's more like the picture I have attached.

And I will probably need to enter them manually in the parts as well, since they are not properly syncronized.... (https://musescore.org/en/node/301540 case #4)

Anyway, your trick of selecting multiple notes works perfectly. Thank you, mike320!
