Add a note to a note sheet
drag & drop added note down under the note sheet

Actual result
Note will be disappeared under the note sheet

Status active ⇒ by design

Don't drag notes or rests off of the staff you'll get crazy results like what you describe. Select the note a press V to make it invisible. It will initially look gray which means it won't print. If you don't want to see it then use the menu View->Show invisible.
