Your question is unclear in the sense that MuseScore doesn't import mp3's at all.
But assuming you have a program that can convert from mp3 to MIDI, make sure that program knows to put all notes on a single "track", then MuseScore will generally place them on one or at most two staves, and you can force it to only one using the options in the MIDI import panel that will appear once you get that far.
