Custom Beam settings, saved as style

• Oct 31, 2020 - 15:32

Hello all,

I am currently creating my music library with musescore containing songs on the 3-string bouzouki (songs I am learning to play). If I set the beaming pattern on the time signature properties to be: 2 + 2 + 2 +3 (time signature is 9/8), it will not be propagated to the score I am working on. If I set the beaming manually, everything works. I would like to know if its possible to "save" the beaming style for 9/8 for future songs with the same time signature. Also, would it be possible to create another entry for the same time signature but with different beaming settings? In bouzouki, there are multiple rythms on the same time signature (i.e. zeimpekiko and aptaliko both at 9/8 but zeimpekiko is: 2 + 2 + 2 + 3, whereas aptaliko is: 3 + 2 + 2 +2). I have uploaded the score I am currently working on. Thank you in advance, Atrestis K.

Press ctrl+t to open the time signatures palette. You can then create a New 9/8 time signature with the beaming you want. If you use this to replace an existing 9/8 time signature you will need to press ctrl+a then click the auto in the beams palette to update to the new beaming. If you create a new score with this 9/8 time signature everything after you enter the new time signature will follow that beaming.
