Adding a new staff line
My last staff line has three bars that ends a sax solo. Now I want to apply a line break to start on a new staff line for the second sax solo. I'm trying to use the Breaks & Spacers on the Palette but with no success.

Do you have one instrument in your score and you now want a second instrument or do you want the sax to play a second solo? Can you attach a sample score so we can understand better what you've done? You're question leads me to believe you've done things quite wrong.

Thanks. I just now solved my problem. I was able to add measures on a new line for a second sax solo by first applying a system break to the end of the last bar and then clicking on the end of the last bar before appending 4 new measures. This placed the new measures on the next line.

To be clear, though: it doesn't matter where you click, or even if you click anything at all, when appending measures. Appending is always to the end of the score. Only insert cares what you have selected, as it inserts before the selected point.
