Tremolo between two notes

• Nov 8, 2020 - 16:00

I've been trying for so long to make tremolos between two double stops on a violin score, and the process (albeit clearly labeled out on this site) is incredible complicated and time consuming. I feel like I should be able to put two half notes together, drag the tremolo notation onto one of them, and it should input the tremolo between them without the tremolos doubling in value.

Why? That's just how tremolos between notes work.
If you want then to end up as 2 half notes with a tremolo between them, just start with 2 quarter notes.

Also drag is not the way to go and longe (even if it still works), select first note and click the tremolo in the palette is the newer and easier way

That is 64th note tremolo between notes. You have to look at the total duration of the tremolo, which is not sure in the cropped picture though it looks like it will be a 1/4 note. That would mean entering 8th notes (2 8th notes = 1 quarter note) and applying the 64th note tremolo between stems. It will look just like that by default unless a stem is pointed in the wrong direction, then you can flip it like any other note. Select it and press x.
