Score comparison doubles up the view
I am trying to compare two scores A and B. When I use the score comparison tool, why do I see my two scores A and B on the left (tabbed) and then the same two scores A and B on the right (tabbed). Confused.

The "Score comparison tool" also enables "Documents side by side"

Yes, I sort of realise that.
But I just want to see score A on the left and score B on the right, not scores A and B (tabbed) on the left and scores A and B (tabbed ) again on the right. I think I must be missing something.

Not missing anything.
The side-by-side view was already existing and has more uses than just the score comparison tool.
Having the same document open twice can make copy-paste so much easier in long scores for example.

So both documents both opened twice?? I just don't see the need. Is there any way of reducing to the view I described?, A on left and B on right.
I only ever want to copy-paste from A to B and vice versa.

In case I'm not clear - I have 4 panels showing, yes 4 - A,B + A,B.

So the current view allows both your use case as well as mine.
A and B on the left (tabbed) and then the same two scores A and B on the right (tabbed).
Choose a different tab for each side...
