Newest version of Musescore causing app crash

Hello. I installed the newest version of Musescore this morning on my pc, updating it from a few months ago. I restarted my computer as is the usual instruction (in fact, I've done it twice now) and every time I open the app it crashes. If I open it again it asks if I want to restore the previous session. If I answer yes or no to this prompt it makes no difference. The app closes after about 2-3 seconds. What gives?

I'm operating on a pc using Windows 10.
