After a clean install, everything works great for loading an existing .mscz file and saving it. After quitting MuseScore (MS), and during a restart of MS, the banner screen hangs on "Loading scores ..."

During attempt to uninstall MS, am advised that Qtwebengineprocess cannot be removed as it is being used. I delete that process using Ctrl-Alt-Del, and continue the app removal which appears to complete successfully (using Revo Uninstaller which also removes many registry entries).

I then reinstall MS, which then I can use successfully as long as I do not quit. After quitting MS, and when I attempt to start MS again, the banner screen hangs as I earlier reported, beginning the removal/reinstall cycle all over again.

The workaround is repeatedly removing and re-installing MS which is tiresome and time wasting. I doubt it is the .mscz score as it loads successfully after a clean install.

Sorry to say that I was premature in my "works" declaration. After I rebooted this morning, I realized that I had not saved a file while the fresh install of MS opened successfully. I think I have not run through most of the suggestions in the #faq you suggested. Is there a way to turn on debug? A debug log would be a pretty easy way to see what routine is really failing.

Then go through that FAQ. Esp. the "Repair Install"

There is a -d switch for additional debug output, but if won't help much on Windows
