You can uninstall or leave it, as you prefer. Do not conflict.
Leave it installed.
If you have a bunch of score you're happy with using version 2 then you should keep version 2 since you probably made some adjustments to the layout you probably want to still open them in version 2. Making them look good in version 3 after you make manual adjustments gets tedious so it's nice to be able to open most of them in version 2 and only use version 3 if you are updating the score or want to take advantage of single note dynamics.
