Ledger lines with Leland notation
In some sheet music I have seen, ledger lines above and below the staff are a little bit thinner and lighter colored. I was wondering if this could be an addition to the next update of the Leland font (if there will be one).
I have attached an image of an example of what I don't really like. The ledger lines are just a little too "much" (for lack of a better word) in my opinion.

Hmm, ledger lines are not part of the font, but they are part of the style settings, Format > Style > Notes > Ledger line thickness

FWIW, the recommendation in Gould is that ledger lines be about twice as thick as staff lines. As she rightly observes, It helps differentiate them and from the staff and thus make them easier for the performer to count. Ours are already not twice - 0.16 vs 0.11 sp by default (formerly 0.08 was the default for the staff lines). I would strongly recommend against confusing the reader by making the ledger lines any thinner while keeping the 0.11 sp staff lines. But if you revert to 0.08 for the staff line, I could see going down to 0.12 or 0.13 for the ledger lines to keep that same ratio.
