Vertical scrolling by mouse wheel in score, single page view, happens in very bit steps, making visual following difficult. Can you implement soft scrolling, like browsers do it?
Or at least, reducing the steps of the mouse wheel could be helpful.
Mouse wheel in windows already aduisted to smallest step (1 line) but not suffivcient

Can you explain more what you mean I'm not familiar with the term "soft scrolling". For me, with the mouse wheel, it does indeed "jump" a bit, like about a full staff height at a time. But drag of the canvas works in as fine an increment as you can want. And MuseScore 4 will have scroll bars it seems.

Its true, dragging the canvas works fine (I'll have got get used to it). But mouse wheel would be the quicker way. Now, jumps are about as wide as a staff height, and this is not ergonomical for the eye, because not easy to visually track the movements.
Simple solution: smaller increments. Better solution: Maybe familiar as "smooth scrolling", as Browsers are doing. The algorithm is very simple: a low pass, giving smooth transition for not more than 1/4 second until reaching the new position, so the eye can follow. I could advice for the details of algorithm if that is not readily available.

Everything about how the UI works is being re-written for MuseScore 4, so best to try a nightly builds of that and give feedback. Warning - it's likely nowhere near usable.
