Removed Selected Bars

Only recently have I struggled to removed selected bars from a score that I am writing. I usually end up with a few empty bars at the end of each score and normally I can highlight them, right click and select removed selected bars. For some reason on this one score, I no longer have that option. Is there something that I need to do to get that option back?

Or Tools / Remove Selected Range, or Tools / Remove Empty Trailing Measures (which doesn't even require a selection).

Also try right-clicking an empty space within the staff instead of a rest. For me it works either way, but maybe you're on an older version? Current is 3.6.2
