Export MIDI file Piano loses Sustain Pedal when imported.
I am not sure if it is the export MIDI or import MIDI that is dropped the Piano Pedal Sustain elements.

Export to MIDI, check with any MIDI player (Windows standard tool should too) whether you hear the pedal effect.
Anyhow, I don't think MIDI is the format to carry notational information like this accross

That is interesting. Your instructions have made me aware of what has been going on with my project midi files as I change instruments to/from piano. I now have the workaround. Edit in Musescore native file format, and only export final to midi.
