After finishing a score, I started to change instruments.
The instrument change user interface indicates that the change was performed and the name of the new instrument appears correctly, but the first stave unexpectedly changes "automatically" the instrument assigned previously assigned.
There is nothing indicating the reason for the first stave instrument change (second bar).

Can you explain the problem you are seeing in more detail? I'm not understanding the description. Maybe also it would help to attach the score before adding the instrument change, then give the steps you are following to add it, and describe what you expect to see happen versus what actually happens.
