trying to append measures, use it all the time, screen shots show result... can not clear the repeat measure to show thw 8 open measures requested.

Are you talking about the multimeasure rest? Press m to disable multimeasure rests, or change the setting in the Style. https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/measure-rests#multimeasure-rest
