Beam proprieties do not work
I'm trying to attach beams to a note but when I drag the middle beam to the note it doesn't attach. How do I fix this?

On your score: beam apply to notes of shorter of quarter.
You entered quarter notes. These don't have beams - only eighth notes and shorter do. You don't convert quarter notes to eighth notes by adding beams - you simply enter eighth notes to begin with, and the beams are created automatically.
