Practice mode in the app keeps lagging.

So ever since the last update on Android practice mode will not scroll along at a set tempo, it will instead skip to the next note or rest.
It will not just keep scrolling evenly. As soon as it gets to the note being played it immediately skips to the next note or rest and it makes it impossible to tell the timing of the notes, especially the shorter ones. Help!
