How do I get chords to play (and silence the melody)?

I would like to use Musescore as a backing track, and play my own instrument over chords...
I'd like to :
1)Turn off the melody on playback
2)Have just the chords and percussion play.

Any way to do this?

Go to view / Mixer, expand the channel strip for the instrument by clicking the little arrow at the top, and then mute the first subchannel (the "normal" channel), leaving the chord symbol ("harmony") channel still sounding.
