Score Scrolling problem

I have created a score along with backup files. Playing and scrolling the score used to work with MuseScore 3 and with 3.5 I downloaded 3.6 and play/scroll does not work. The score plays and the blue highlight bar moves but the score itself remains at the beginning. I deleted all of the old versions and only have 3.6. By the way, the backup files do not scroll either. Suggestions?
