From musescore on desktop, I click file and select import PDF. It opens
the web site as convert your PDF files; then I click on select PDF file…it uploads
then results as unsuccessful..
Like OCR for text documents, the results of Importing music pdfs depend on the quality of the source document. But music recognition software is very much less developed than for text. It is sometimes completely successful if the source document is clear and not too complicated. In most cases it is only partially successful and imports but creates a score containing errors that have to be corrected manually. In some cases the source score is so unclear that the conversion software can make no sense of it at all. It seems your source score falls into the latter category. It will probably be easier to enter all the notation into MuseScore manually.
EDIT - my mistake - you were asking about importing PDF, sorry!
Just exported 24 song scores - 213 pages to upload etc to Lulu (using Affinity Publisher to compile) - explain what you need I'm sure the help is here.
You cannot "convert" PDF files. Some software interprets PDF files and saves them in another format but the PDF file has to be of extremely good quality to get readable results. Simple files get better results than complex files to the extent that you may be quicker entering the music straight into MuseScore manually.
Now, you may have a poor PDF or there may be something wrong at your end or there may be something wrong with the PDF program. Attach the PDF file and others can take a look.
