All Laptop Sound is static after Musescore is opened

I open Musescore, and regardless of the project, all sound on my laptop will come out as obnoxious static. In the I/O settings, changing the audio API/Device and restarting the audio devices has no effect. Even after I close Musescore, the problem persists for any sound that plays through my computer.

The only workaround is when I plug in headphones.

I have a Dell Laptop, specifically the Dell Inspiron 3501. The default laptop speakers are Realtek(R) Audio, this is the device that causes the static with Musescore. All drivers are up to date.
