I tried making a new score and somehow meterless mode was on and I have to make a marching band score placing barlines every 4 beats. It's driving me insane and I can't work like this. I haven't seen a single thing anywhere about how to turn meterless mode off. Someone please help !!!

First of all fix your CapsLock key.
Then read the handbook on note input, esp. the part about note inpüit modes, see https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/note-input#note-input-modes
Then switch from Insert mode back to Step Time mode
